Eureka! is an authentic one-of-a-kind gastropub experience serving a wide selection of certified Angus Chuck Beef burgers, gourmet salads, signature hand-cut fries, and a distinctive assortment of the best craft beers and whiskeys in a warm atmosphere surrounded by good vibes and rock n’ roll. The company is based in Southern California and has recently announced plans to expand in Arizona. Velocity Retail Group’s Darren Pitts, along with Chip Thor have been selected to lead their expansion strategy in several key trade areas.
Operating Manager, Nick Fontova and his partners began the concept in 2009 and despite the weakened economy the business has exceeded their projections. What sets Eureka! apart from the competition is that they integrate into the local environment as quickly as possible by supporting local sports teams, buying local produce, meats, and local craft beers. With fresh, local fare and meals priced under $10, he said, “I think we’re made for this economy.”
“Eureka! is a cutting-edge concept, combining incredible food with a craft beer line-up that will rival any establishment in the country,” said Thor, a Vice President at Velocity Retail Group. The Inland Empire Weekly recently published an article describing this concept as a “…culinary force to be reckoned with.”
“We’ve been able to work with many Southern California concepts over the past 15 years in their expansion to new markets. Eureka! is one of the nation’s most unique restaurant concepts,” said Pitts, Executive Vice President at Velocity. “Eureka! will initially expand into the more pedestrian-friendly urban areas of the Phoenix metroplex with an emphasis on Old Town Scottsdale, Downtown Tempe and the Camelback Corridor. Locations will be between 3,000 to 4,000 square feet plus a significant patio environment – they also seek buildings with a unique design element that will set them apart as a destination in the trade area.”
